Summary
This dream reveals deep spiritual and relational wounds centered around stolen finances, familial betrayal, and spiritual warfare. The recurring themes of theft, jealousy, and shapeshifting creatures (snake-cat hybrid) point to hidden enemies within your close circle and the need for spiritual protection and discernment.
Interpretation
Your dream of having coins (R1, R2, R5) stolen by someone you grew up with represents a profound betrayal by a close associate or family member who is actively blocking your financial progress and prosperity. The deliberate display of enjoying your loss while you suffer indicates not just theft, but spiritual manipulation and jealousy. This person may be engaging in harmful practices or simply harboring deep envy that manifests as spiritual blockage in your life. The coins themselves represent small but significant blessings and daily provisions that are being intercepted before they reach you.
(Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)
The sibling watching you in a weird, uncaring way during your prayers is particularly significant. This reveals that your spiritual efforts are being monitored by someone close to you who does not have your best interests at heart. When you cry out to God asking why you are not progressing, the answer comes through these dreams—there is active interference from family members. The uncaring gaze suggests emotional detachment and possible complicity in your struggles. This is a divine revelation showing you the source of your stagnation.

The snake transforming into a cat with a snake's head is one of the most significant symbols in your dream. According to Islamic dream interpretation, a snake represents a hidden enemy, often someone who appears friendly but harbors enmity. The transformation into a cat is equally revealing. In traditional interpretation, cats often symbolize thieves, deception, and those who appear domestic and harmless but are actually predatory. The hybrid nature—cat body with snake head—indicates someone who presents a friendly, familiar exterior (like a household cat) but maintains the poisonous intentions of a serpent. The fact that you were cleaning when you encountered it suggests this enemy operates in your domestic sphere, possibly within your own household or family circle.
(Abdulgani al-Nabulusi — Encyclopedia of Dream Interpretation, Islam)
The detail that even after the snake transformed into a cat, you still knew it was a snake, demonstrates your spiritual discernment. Your inner knowing cannot be fooled by outward transformations. This is a gift from God—the ability to see through deception. The cat in Islamic tradition represents a thief who will attempt to steal from you, and your fight with or observation of this creature indicates an ongoing spiritual battle. When a cat scratches or bites in a dream, it signifies illness or harm coming from a thief or enemy. The hybrid nature suggests this person switches between open hostility (snake) and false friendship (domesticated cat).
(Abdulgani al-Nabulusi — Encyclopedia of Dream Interpretation, Islam)
From a psychological perspective, the recurring theme of theft and betrayal by familiar figures represents your subconscious processing of real relational violations. The transformation of the snake into a cat symbolizes your mind's recognition that danger often comes disguised as something familiar and safe. Your dreams are bringing to consciousness what you may have been denying or overlooking in your waking life—that someone very close to you is undermining your success and well-being.

The act of cleaning when you encountered the snake-cat is significant. Cleaning in dreams often represents attempts to purify one's life, remove negativity, or create order. The appearance of this hybrid creature during your cleaning suggests that your efforts to improve your situation are revealing hidden enemies. As you attempt to clean and organize your life spiritually and materially, those who have been operating in secret are being exposed. This aligns with the Islamic interpretation that discovering a snake while engaged in righteous activity means uncovering hidden evil or deception.
(Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)
The progression of your dreams—from theft, to uncaring observation by siblings, to the shapeshifting creature—tells a complete story. Your material losses (coins) are connected to family dysfunction and spiritual attack. The enemy is both material (stealing money) and spiritual (blocking your prayers and progress). In Jewish mystical tradition, dreams that recur with similar themes, especially involving family members and animals, are considered prophetic warnings that require action. The Talmud teaches that a dream uninterpreted is like a letter unread—you are being given information that requires a response.
(Talmudic References, Berachot 55-57, Judaism)
Your prayers asking God why you are not progressing are being answered through these dreams. God is showing you that human interference, specifically from family and close associates, is creating blockages. The solution involves both spiritual warfare (prayer, protection) and practical wisdom (discernment about who has access to your resources and information). The snake in Islamic interpretation can represent a powerful enemy, and killing or overcoming a snake in a dream means victory over that enemy. Your recognition of the snake despite its disguise is the first step toward victory.
