Summary

This dream weaves together themes of construction and planning, reunion with your late son, spiritual warnings, abundant harvest, and confronting death in symbolic forms. It reflects both grief processing and spiritual transformation, with elements of divine communication and life cycle symbolism.

Interpretation

The construction of a room in your mother's house, with you in charge of planning and materials, symbolizes your active role in building new aspects of your life or spiritual development. In Islamic dream interpretation, building or construction represents establishing foundations for future prosperity and indicates taking responsibility for creating positive changes in your life circumstances.

The appearance of a baby resembling your late son who smiled at you carries profound significance. When you clothed and breastfed this child, this represents a spiritual reunion and emotional healing. According to traditional Islamic interpretation, breastfeeding in a dream indicates that you will achieve honor, elevated status, and blessings. The act of nursing represents nurturing not just a child, but also your own spiritual growth and the preservation of your son's memory in a blessed way. The smile indicates that your son's soul is at peace and brings you comfort from the spiritual realm.
(Muhammad Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)

The sudden weather change and the instruction to pray with matchsticks in your ears is a powerful spiritual symbol. This unusual instruction represents the need for spiritual protection and divine communication during times of heavenly intervention. The weather change signifies upcoming transformation, and the specific ritual indicates that you must prepare yourself spiritually to receive divine messages or blessings. This reflects the Islamic understanding that dreams can carry prophetic warnings or divine guidance.

Harvesting large corn with others symbolizes abundant blessings and rewards for your efforts. In traditional interpretation, harvesting represents reaping the benefits of past labor, and the abundance indicates prosperity coming your way. Your advice to plant another type of corn for the next season shows wisdom and forward-thinking, suggesting that you will make wise decisions that benefit not only yourself but your community. Corn and grain in dreams traditionally represent sustenance, wealth, and divine provision.
(Muhammad Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)

The difficult imagery of your mother handing you a container with your son's body represents the ongoing processing of grief and the weight of loss that you carry. However, this is followed by seeing the child again - this time smiling but in the form of a dead chameleon. The chameleon is significant: it represents transformation, adaptation, and change. Though the chameleon appears dead, the child's earlier smile suggests spiritual transformation rather than finality. In Islamic interpretation, seeing a deceased person alive and happy in a dream indicates their good state in the afterlife and brings comfort to the living. The repeated appearance of your son in different forms - as a living baby, in a container, and as a transformed creature - suggests the soul's journey and your own psychological and spiritual processing of loss. The smile that persists even in the chameleon form indicates enduring love and spiritual connection that transcends physical death.
(Muhammad Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)

From a psychological perspective, this dream represents the complex grief process where you simultaneously hold onto memories (breastfeeding, clothing the baby) while confronting the reality of loss (the container with the body). The transformation into a chameleon - a creature known for change and adaptation - may represent your subconscious recognizing the need to adapt to life after loss while maintaining spiritual connection. The harvest scene between these two encounters with your son suggests that even amid grief, life continues and brings abundance, and you have wisdom to share with others.
