Summary

This dream reflects unresolved grief and emotional connection with your deceased brother, combined with feelings of danger and the need for protection. The presence of your brother offering guidance, particularly about your mother, suggests his continued spiritual influence in your life. The threatening figures with guns represent fears, anxieties, or spiritual attacks that you feel vulnerable to in your waking life.

Interpretation

Dreaming of a deceased loved one, especially a brother with whom you were very close, carries profound spiritual significance across multiple traditions. In Islamic dream interpretation, seeing a deceased person appearing calm and well-dressed (your brother wearing a white t-shirt) is generally considered a positive sign, indicating that the deceased is in a good spiritual state. The white clothing particularly symbolizes purity and peace in the afterlife. Your brother's warning about your mother and the family dynamics reflects his continued concern for your wellbeing from beyond, suggesting that he serves as a spiritual guardian watching over you.
(Abdulgani al-Nabulusi — Encyclopedia of Dream Interpretation, Islam)

The Islamic tradition specifically addresses dreams of deceased relatives offering warnings or guidance. When your brother warned you about being careful with your mother and mentioned favoritism toward your sister, this represents unresolved family tensions that require your attention. The deceased appearing to give advice is seen as a form of spiritual communication, where the soul of the departed continues to care for the living. The fact that he appeared relaxed despite the danger you faced suggests his confidence in divine protection over you, even when you cannot see the full picture.
(Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)

From a psychological perspective, dreams of deceased loved ones often represent the grieving process and the dreamer's need to maintain connection with the lost person. Your dream occurred during a significant life transition (your first pregnancy in 2009, the same year your brother passed), and such dreams can resurface during times of stress or when facing new threats. The brother in your dream represents both your actual memories of him and the internalized protective figure you carry within your psyche. His warnings about your mother may reflect your own unconscious awareness of family dynamics and your need to set boundaries.
(Sigmund Freud — The Interpretation of Dreams, Psychology)

The threatening element of armed men chasing you represents persecution, spiritual warfare, or overwhelming life challenges. In dream symbolism across traditions, being chased indicates running from something in your waking life—whether it's responsibilities, fears, or actual threats. The fact that your brother remained calm while you felt compelled to flee suggests a disconnect between spiritual peace and earthly anxieties. Your husband's presence in both scenes (talking with your brother, then being told where to meet you) indicates that he serves as an anchor point between your past (represented by your brother) and your present reality.
(Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)

The car full of armed men specifically represents enemies or evil forces in Islamic dream interpretation. The speed of their pursuit and the guns they carry symbolize the intensity of spiritual or worldly attacks you may be experiencing. However, the fact that you successfully escape and plan a meeting point with your husband suggests that despite these threats, you possess the wisdom and support system necessary to overcome dangers. The gate where your brother sat is symbolically significant—gates represent transitions, boundaries between worlds, and points of decision. Your brother positioned at this threshold suggests he guards the boundary between the spiritual and physical realms.
(Abdulgani al-Nabulusi — Encyclopedia of Dream Interpretation, Islam)

In Christian dream interpretation, deceased loved ones appearing in dreams can represent God's messengers or the communion of saints, where those who have passed continue to intercede for the living. Your brother's peaceful demeanor and protective warnings align with the biblical understanding that love transcends death and that spiritual bonds remain unbroken. The persecution you face from armed pursuers echoes biblical themes of spiritual warfare, where believers face opposition but are assured of divine protection and ultimate victory.

The Jewish mystical tradition (Kabbalah) teaches that dreams can be a channel for communication between the living and the departed souls, particularly when there are unfinished matters or important messages to convey. Your brother's specific warning about your mother and family favoritism suggests there may be real-world family dynamics that require your attention and wisdom. The Talmud teaches that dreams follow their interpretation—meaning that how you respond to this dream's message in your waking life will determine its ultimate meaning and outcome.

Overall, this dream serves multiple purposes: it provides comfort through continued connection with your beloved brother, offers practical guidance about family relationships, warns you of spiritual or worldly dangers, and reminds you that you have both earthly support (your husband) and spiritual protection. The dream encourages you to heed the warnings given, strengthen your spiritual defenses through prayer and awareness, address family dynamics with wisdom, and trust that even in times of danger, you are not alone—you are guided by both the memory and spiritual presence of those who loved you, as well as by divine protection.
