Summary
This dream reflects a profound sense of urgency, danger, and the necessity of leaving behind material security. The fire in the fields and approaching dangerous people symbolize imminent trials, betrayal from unexpected sources, and a call to prioritize survival over possessions. The absence of your father and the betrayal by your cousin point to themes of broken family bonds and trust.
Interpretation
The fire rising in the fields represents a significant warning and impending crisis in your life. According to Islamic dream interpretation, when fire rises into the skies or spreads across fields, it indicates that people in that area are engaging in transgression or that a major trial is approaching. The fact that someone deliberately set the fire suggests that external forces or individuals are actively creating chaos in your life. Fire in dreams can represent both destruction and transformation—it burns away the old to make way for the new, but the process is often painful and requires sacrifice.
(Muhammed Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)
The presence of dangerous people approaching from the north carries deep symbolic weight. In traditional Islamic interpretation, threats coming from a specific direction often represent real-world dangers or spiritual trials. The north can symbolize coldness, hardship, or unexpected adversity. The fact that you had to leave everything behind without time to pack indicates that material possessions and worldly attachments must be surrendered when facing life's most serious challenges. This echoes the spiritual principle that true safety lies not in what we own, but in our ability to move forward with faith and family unity.

The setting at your paternal grandparents' house is highly significant. In dream symbolism, your father's family home represents heritage, ancestral connections, and paternal authority. The absence of your father in this dream is particularly meaningful—it may suggest a lack of patriarchal protection or guidance during this crisis, or it could indicate that you are being called to face challenges without relying on traditional authority figures. Your father often represents strength, decision-making power, and protection in dreams. His absence during a time of danger suggests you may feel vulnerable or that you must rely on your own resources and those of your immediate family (mother and siblings) rather than expected sources of support.
(Traditional Dream Interpretation, Psychology)
The most disturbing element of this dream is the betrayal by your cousin—discovering that the dangerous people are working with a family member. In Islamic tradition, seeing family members allied with enemies or harmful forces represents one of the deepest forms of betrayal and broken trust. Cousins in dreams often represent extended family loyalty and support, so their collaboration with dangerous people symbolizes unexpected treachery from within your own circle. This may reflect actual concerns about family dynamics, or it could represent parts of yourself that are working against your best interests. The Qur'an warns about trials that can come even from within one's own household, and this dream echoes that timeless wisdom.
(Abdulgani al-Nabulusi — Encyclopedia of Dream Interpretation, Islam)
From a psychological perspective, this dream reflects deep anxiety about security, trust, and the stability of your support systems. The house represents your sense of safety and foundation, while the fire symbolizes a crisis that threatens to destroy that foundation. Having to flee on foot into the fields suggests a return to basics, stripping away everything non-essential. Your mother and siblings' presence indicates that core family bonds remain strong even when facing adversity, but the father's absence and cousin's betrayal reveal fears about who can truly be trusted. Dreams of fleeing often emerge during periods of significant life transition or when facing situations that feel beyond your control.
(Sigmund Freud — The Interpretation of Dreams, Psychology)
In Christian interpretation, fire often represents purification, divine judgment, or testing of faith. The Book of 1 Peter speaks of trials by fire that test the genuineness of faith. Your dream of fleeing from fire while leaving possessions behind echoes biblical accounts of righteous people who had to flee danger quickly, such as Lot fleeing Sodom. The betrayal by a family member mirrors biblical betrayals like Judas or Absalom, reminding us that trials often come from unexpected quarters. The call to leave everything behind resonates with Jesus's teaching that sometimes we must forsake worldly possessions to preserve what is truly valuable—life itself and spiritual integrity.

The symbolic meaning of fleeing into the fields is also noteworthy. Fields represent openness, vulnerability, but also potential and new growth. While leaving the house means abandoning security, moving into the fields suggests entering a space of possibility where new seeds can be planted. In many spiritual traditions, the wilderness or open fields are places of testing but also of divine encounter and transformation. Your journey on foot with your core family suggests that authentic relationships and shared experience matter more than material comfort.

- Traditional Islamic Dream Interpretation Sources: Seeing one's father in a dream represents finding strength and courage to face challenges. However, the father's absence indicates that the dreamer must find inner resources and cannot rely on traditional sources of protection.
