Summary
This dream reveals a multi-layered conflict involving interpersonal tension with Mahdi, followed by a powerful confrontation with a green snake that paralyzed half your body. The snake's presence while protecting your sister suggests themes of spiritual warfare, hidden enemies, and protective instincts being tested during a vulnerable moment.
Interpretation
The green snake in your dream carries profound symbolic weight across multiple spiritual traditions. In Islamic dream interpretation, a snake represents an enemy or adversary, and the fact that this snake was fat and strong indicates a powerful opponent in your life. The green color is particularly significant, as it can represent both spiritual matters and deception. The snake's attack causing paralysis on one side of your body symbolizes that this enemy has gained partial power over you, yet you maintained enough strength to protect your sister, showing your protective nature and moral resilience.
(Muhammad Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)
The physical characteristics of the snake—fat, strong, but not very long—reveal important details about the nature of this opposition. According to classical Islamic interpretation, the snake's strength represents the intensity of the challenge you face, while its limited length suggests that this enemy's influence, though powerful, is not all-encompassing. Your ability to keep fighting despite partial paralysis indicates that you possess inner strength to overcome this adversary. The fact that you were protecting your little sister shows that your concern for others' wellbeing gives you additional strength even when personally weakened.
(Muhammad Ibn Sirin, Dreams and Interpretations, Islam)
From a psychological perspective, snakes in dreams often represent fears, anxieties, and internal conflicts that we struggle to control. The dream began with a fight with Mahdi and you leaving in anger, suggesting unresolved emotional tension. The clean appearance of the city from your street represents a moment of clarity or perspective gained through distance from the conflict. However, returning home brought you face-to-face with a deeper issue—the snake. This progression suggests that external conflicts (with Mahdi) may be connected to or masking deeper internal struggles. The paralysis of one side of your body symbolizes feeling powerless or restricted in some aspect of your life, yet your determination to protect your sister shows that love and responsibility can motivate you even when you feel partially defeated.

The snake's attack causing partial paralysis is particularly significant in traditional dream interpretation. When a snake coils around someone or attacks them, it indicates being placed in a position of vulnerability where enemies may have temporary advantage. The fact that you maintained consciousness and fighting spirit throughout the attack, and that your primary concern was protecting your sister rather than yourself, demonstrates noble character and suggests that despite current difficulties, you will overcome through strategic thinking and moral strength. The green color of the snake may indicate that this challenge has a spiritual dimension or involves someone who appears righteous but harbors hidden hostility.
(Gustavus Hindman Miller, 10,000 Dreams Interpreted, Psychology)
The progression of your dream—from conflict with Mahdi, to seeing the clean city, to returning home and facing the snake—suggests a journey from external confrontation to inner revelation. The nighttime setting indicates that these issues are emerging from your subconscious or hidden aspects of your life. The snake appearing at home, your place of safety and rest, suggests that the threat feels close and personal. Your protective instinct toward your sister, even while partially paralyzed, reveals that your values and care for family remain intact despite personal challenges. This dream calls you to be vigilant about hidden enemies or deceptive situations in your life, while also affirming your inner strength and protective nature.
Dream Symbols
- Green Snake (Fat and Strong) — Represents a powerful enemy or adversary in your life who possesses significant strength and influence. The green color suggests this opposition may have a spiritual dimension or involve deception masked as righteousness. The snake's physical characteristics—fat and strong but not very long—indicate an intense but limited challenge that can be overcome with determination and strategy.
- Partial Paralysis (One Side of Body) — Symbolizes feeling powerless or restricted in some aspect of your life, representing the enemy's temporary advantage over you. This partial paralysis reflects real-life situations where you may feel limited but are not completely defeated.
- Little Sister — Represents innocence, responsibility, and those you feel called to protect. Her presence in the dream reveals your protective instincts and shows that concern for others gives you strength even when you feel personally weakened. She may also symbolize vulnerable aspects of yourself or your life that you wish to guard.

- Fight with Mahdi — Represents interpersonal conflict and unresolved tension in your waking life. This conflict triggered your departure in anger, setting the stage for the deeper spiritual confrontation with the snake.
